First Meeting in Northern California

Ok Gang, lets do this!!!! I'm thinking we get together for a drink/ dinner in the town of Jackson in the next week or two. If this works out then maybe rotate to another town so others will join up with us. Who's in?

All the best, Monte

Sounds good. Julie and I might be able to make it on a week night. Jackson is about 1 hr north of Sonora. Possibly on a weekend too, maybe even this weekend. I see we are not too busy this weekend, but very busy next weekend Feb 5-7th. Busy 13th, but possibly not 14th: Valentines Day.Keep in touch. Earl Arrant, are you in on this too, you're from Sacramento area. David in Fresno and Sonora

Hi I'm Roger. I live in Buckhorn, about 25 minutes up 88 from Jackson. Love to meet up. Any way I can help? Oh yeah, I'm retired and can meet most any old time.

Welcome, Roger. Maybe you could name an inexpensive (Pizza ? ) restaurant in Jackson. Also, start scouting possible locations for a Camping meeting in the spring. We recently stayed at the Calaveras Big Trees campground nearby on Hwy 4. It was nice ! And we all should probably pass the word to other 'fiberglas people' we know. David in Sonora

Well, funny you should mention that. I will do a quickie survey. But there is a Mountain Mikes and a Round Table. If we meet around lunch there is a Waffle Shop. There is a Perko's and a bunch more. Camping is easy. There is a RV Park near the Gold Panning site Just outside Pine Grove (8 miles up 88 from Jackson. There is a camp ground at Indian Grinding Rock, which is between Pine Grove and the little town of Volcano, about 10 or so miles from Jackson. AND a WHOLE bunch of campgrounds up the hill from me to the top of Carson Pass. The RV Park is the site of a "Scamp Camp" in May, or so I'm told. Glad to help out any way I can.

This is great! What day and time works best for everyone? I'm thinking a evening next week sometime to start. I'm can come anytime but I want to make it possible for people that work in the day! Thomi's has good food and is big enough for all of us.

I am in for a meet and greet

I am probably available after next Tuesday. During the week is OK for me except Fridays. Weekends are usually good too, but never know for sure until a date is proposed. My preference is lunch during the week or on a Saturday/Sunday, but whatever works for the majority is OK too.

We were talking about going south to Quartzite and then up through Death Valley the week after next, but it appears that has fallen through.

Are we talking about the Thomi's in the mall by Raleys?? Do you want me to stop by and make arrangements. Let me know how I can help. BTW., I'm a bit biased towards the Waffle shop but they are only open till 3 pm.

If it works for everyone else, it will work for me. Rest of the month and most of February is empty.

I'm trying to get an idea of how often we should get together. Once a month or every other month? My wife and I go once a month to a travel club and have become great friend with a lot of the people there! DavidH, sorry you cant make it there. We were going to give a trailer away to the first Junior Member who doesn't have a trailer yet! Oh well, we'll spent the money on food and drink instead!

Once or twice a month will be ok with me. Any more often and we might be interrupting travel plans. I don't do much traveling so almost anything would work for me
