Floor color

Why is the vinyl flooring in my 2013 scamp 19 turning pink? I have had the same problem in other campers also. What have people done to solve the problem? Is it difficult to pull up that old flooring? Leo J

One option would be to just lay vinyl plank flooring over top of the existing, as long as it is in ok shape and securely attached. The Allure flooring from Home Depot goes in quite easily. I used the type with the glue strips, or they make some that snap together. It is a floating floor, so is easy to pull up again when you wish to do something different.

I saw someone in a Scamp Facebook group that had that problem. Not sure what it was but I think the adhesive was coming through. Even though your Scamp is a few years old, I would call and ask them. They should want to know about the problem anyway, although I expect it has been solved or not occurred in more recent years.

Besides the glue, it could also be a UV problem as many manufactures could be using an inferior product, just a thought.

Multiple reports of the same issue in a Scamp group on Facebook:

When I ordered my new Scamp Jim, my salesman, mentioned that the new vinyl they were using is well liked. Perhaps this problem had something to do with them changing.
