Found this supplier of foam backed vinyl, the vinyl is available in different colors and the foam applications...thought it might have possibilities? check out the eBay store for more options.

I replaced my Scamp's rat fur & reflectix a few years back with closed cell foam and then covered it with marine grade vinyl. I used 3M spray adhesive for the project. The marine vinyl proved to be problematic - it never adhered well to the foam (I speculate that the culprit was a reaction with the anti mold chemicals in the marine vinyl). I have subsequently replaced much of the marine vinyl using both standard fabric backed upholstery vinyl and automotive grade foam backed vinyl.

Based on my experience, the foam backed vinyl is the way to go. Using the 3M adhesive it sticks to beat the band and is easy to work with.

Automotive upholstery supply shops also stock all kinds of foam backed vinyl's and fabrics for use as headliners. I re-did an entire Sunrader FGRV interior using it with excellent results. Here is a good source <<<jjautofabrics.com>>> they are in Rialto, CA, great people to work with.
