Foot powered washing machine

This might have some potential for full timers. I have to investigate further.

Wasn't this presented by somebody a few weeks ago already? I do not think it made a great and lasting impression on most commentators. A roll of quarters is much easier to take along in a Scamp than something like this.

It might have Paul. Its hard to keep up with the forum now as so many members with good posts and ideas. For the off road guys who are out a few weeks and dont have a creek with a rock or washboard it might be ok.

No way would I want to discourage anybody from posting interesting ideas... I also like the forum for that very reason.

May I suggest a large buss pan. Put in the cloths, a bit of low phosphate detergent and water. Now stomp them grapes. Voila! Clean socks and clean feet in one swell foop.

That's fell swoop.............badiya, badiya, badiya..........That's all folks.

IN WWII, soldiers in Africa would put their clothes in a bucket with some water and soap, attach it to the bumper of the truck, then drove all day on the rutted out roads. Plenty of agitation. At the end of the day, just rinse and hang out to dry. Maybe the same thing would work with a 5 gal bucket on the rear bumper or near the propane bottle of a camper? It wouldn't be nearly as bumpy as a rutted African road, but it might be enough. And, nearly free.
