found a play mor II

I think I found a play mor 2....looks like it is in great shape...has had a small leak in the big window during a three day downpour....missing the stove (looks like it has been totally re done inside). Does not appear to have sag issues. They are wanting 1250 for it....is that a good price on one of these? Don't need it, but for a grand could make it into my caboose! Title on hand....so that is a plus! Anyone know much about these?

If the floor is sound and since the inside is remodeled, the price sounds decent to me. Usually the $1250 ones are a mess inside and out.

As I think more about it, in fact... if for some reason you decide not to buy it, please let me know how to contact the seller... I could be tempted rather easily at the moment.

I am going to buy it. It belonged to an elderly lady and was her one and only...she died and the family is selling it....I has not been remodeled....but looks pretty decent. Original stove is missing...ither than that it is original....fiberglass floor so shouldn' t be rotten at all.....

I love the two little windows on the back of the PlayMor and the FLAT door!

It has a similar door to my Lil Bigfoot. Do post pics of the inside too!

I did not buy it. Two small leaks I was willing to deal with.....the crack in the frame I was not....so I left it be....good condition otherwise. Bummer.

That is a bummer but better that you know before you buy.

Yes, where? And I'd still like the seller info if it's not too much trouble.

If the crack is under the trailer, I imagine that would necessitate taking the egg off the frame for repair... (anyone ever have that done and know what it cost?) But if it's on the tongue area, that could be fixed rather easily.

The crack is on the weld from where the vee goes from bent to straight and then under the trailer

It depends on how bad it is. I've fixed them with cracks on top by cutting out the side of the frame rail, grinding and welding the crack from inside the frame, getting a piece of channel bent to insert inside it, drill holes in the top of that piece, and plug weld it to the frame. Then weld the plate you cut out back into the frame, drill holes through the side of that to the channel you put in, plug weld it in, and then plate both sides of the frame with diamond fish plates.

If it's one somewhat small crack, that's one thing, especially if you can determine why. If there's 4-5-6 cracks you find...something probably stressed the frame, and it's time for a new one. In the case above, it was from shoddy building by the manufacturer, and welds that weren't fit for a kids toy.
