Well,as indicated, I found my new/used Egg!

Not exactly what I was looking for, but ended up being a bigger and better trailer than I was actually looking for, and that I could have imagined!

Had a Cadet on the brain for a long time, as I still very much like the look and function they offer, however, while cruising through the Craigslist's from far and wide, I came across a 1991 Casita Freedom Deluxe, that is a wonderful little trailer.
Full bathroom, concealed working A/C in the front, and the side couch.
Has the attached awning, and has been upgraded to larger 15' Aluminum wheels/ tires.
They felt it towed much better with the larger wheels.

I have decided to call her "Connie", goes well with her last name Casita, and as a big fan of Vintage Airplanes, I love the sleek look of the old Constellations. So, Connie, it is, lol!

It was owned by an older couple for many years, and very unfortunate for the Lovely lady I have been speaking with, her Husband passed away a few months back, so she has decided that she would not use it on her own, and decided to sell it, but has been very selective about the new owner.

After several weeks of e-mails, and a few phone calls, she was convinced that as a true Egg fan, she felt it was going to be in good hands and well taken care of!
Without sounding rude, I have to agree with her, as I really am NOT into the aluminum and stick trailers, too much to worry about going wrong there?

So, I will journey to pick it up just after the New Year as she is very busy, like many of us, over the Holidays.
Only a 862 miles and 15.5 hours away, each direction. I guess that also showed her my dedication to the EGG's, and her wonderful Casita.

So, now I can't wait for the New Year to come, and head out on my road trip.
Have already arranged Heated/ Indoor storage for Connie, for her return to her new home.

Only have a few pictures of her right now, but will have more to share next week.

Happy Holidays everyone,
All the best, Jake.

Ya done good, Jake! It sounds like Connie was a great find.

The distance was about the same for us (NC to MI) when we found our Scamp in early 04 and we haven't regretted it for a minute.

Merry Christmas - Al & Cindy

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence!

I feel like a kid with a new toy, only I cannot open or play with it yet, lol!

This definitely made my Christmas.

All the best to you for a Safe and Happy Holiday Season.
Cheers, Jake.

Whoo Hoooooooooooo! Merry Christmas! Cool present you bought your self!

You soooooo don't know how that feeling of a new toy is gonna grow with each mile you get closer to it! LOL........... Then once you hook up and pull away it is the most exciting feeling . Enjoy it! We had a 15 hour drive to pick up ours, same circumstance, I felt so bad for the lady , but was so overjoyed that she picked us to buy it. I actually took her a little gift of thanks!

I know the Casita is not the exact trailer you were looking for but think you will find it a great fit. Enjoy and Congrats!

Happy New Year Jake
Thank you very much Donna, I guess it was a bit too large for his Sleigh, lol?

Would you Donna, be able to suggest where I might find a Sales Brochure?
Just curious if there may be a site to check, as I do not have the Owners Manual yet,
I though if I could find a brochure to check out the options, full layout pictures etc?
Just my excitement showing, I guess?

Merry Christmas, and Happy New year!
Jake.

Jake, do you belong to the CasitaForum? If no one answers up here, perhaps you could put in a request there for a brochure. Just remember, it's the holiday's and it make take a bit of time for people to respond.

Thank you very much Robin!
You are absolutely right, I am so excited, and truly cannot wait to get there and bring her home!
When I said that a Casita was not exactly what I was looking for, it was mainly because the majority of them were all out of my price range, not that I did not like them.
Having been out of work for 8 months, and just recently found a job, needless to say, the savings account was running near the E side of the cash gauge, lol!
I was so very fortunate that this Lady was kind enough to present me with an offer that was simply to good to refuse, and one that I could actually afford.
So, a lovely Casita it is!

Thanks again, and Happy Holidays to you!
Cheers, Jake

Thanks again to All, for the Congratulations!

The wait is killing me, lol!

Bob, I noticed that you also have a Freedom Deluxe,
does yours have the side dinette or couch?
I still have not seen another with the side couch,
also mine has a window in the galley, sink area?

I guess there were many different layouts and options?

Wishing all a very Prosperous and Safe New Year!
Cheers, Jake.
