Could you tell me the measurements of the added straps? Most importantly, I would like to know the length. Where did you get the straps? Did you make them, or pick them up at the hardware store?

Sandra

Sandra, what straps? Ones that hold the microwave?

Just got home from our 1st camping trip of the season. More later.

Frank

Yes, the straps for the microwave shelf.

Where did you camp, and how was it?

Sandra, I made the straps for the microwave myself from 3/4" wide 1/8" thick aluminum I bought at Lowe's. They're strong enough to hold the microwave, yet fairly easy to bend the right angles needed at top and bottom for fastening with machine screws and nuts. They do a great job!

We did a 3 day trip to Letchworth State Park, a NYS park often called the Grand Canyon of the East (Letchworth State Park Information). We've been there many times over the years. It's a favorite now because it's close to our kids and grandkids, and they camped with us. It was a family affair!

By the way, towing the Parkliner with our 2013 Escape with the factory tow package, we got 21 mpg (and more) at 58 mph.

Any of other questions or whatever Sandra, just let me know.

Enjoy!

Frank

So Frank it sounds like you finally won your long battle with wiring the Escape!

Care to share with those of us who were following the saga what the problem turned out to be in the end?

Replaced the 7 pin on the back, fixed. 7 pin must have been bad.
