Upon getting ready for this Labor Day weekend trip I noticed an odor of LP in our Casita. I began to inspect each appliance by spraying soapy water on the supply lines and fittings with no luck. So I went to our local RV store and purchased a portable gas leak detector and 4 shut off valves to isolate each appliance unit. Upon installing the last valve for the water heater I found that the supply line penetrating through the floor was seriously corroded. I replaced it and problem solved. After the repair I inspected the remaining lines and found no issues. FYI this maybe a point of inspection for my fellow FGRVer’s . Note this leak was in the floor (not above or below the floor).

Anyhow FYI and We’ll C-ya’s down the road.................

That is scary, and it is not an old trailer either. The copper must have reacted to some chemical used in the makeup of the floors. Definitely something to look for on an annual check.

BTW, thanks for changing to a font my old eyes can read.

Your battery is closer the propane line ???
If yess , may be an acid leak !!!
The copper tubing do not corrode at normal service

The Casita’s battery is completely seal off from the inside and only accessible from the outside. Thanks for the thought.
