But not Diesel at $3.69 or so. I can not figure this one out?
It must be that the gas in CA. is of better quality. I can't see any other reason why our gas would be so much higher priced.

I think everything in Cali is higher, including the wages.

Talking If gasoline were water (an analogy)

In one sense you're right; California requires a special blend and cannot sell standard gas that is relatively plentiful elsewhere.
It's kind of like Arrowhead bottled water is good enough for the rest of the country but we Californians have to have Perrier.

In Washington we also buy cars manufactured to "California Emission Standards." Whatever that is. California has much the same problem Wisconsin has, too many government 'solutions.' I always fill up in the last station in Arizona and Oregon before entering high priced CA.

BTW, on Feb 19, we paid $3.07 in Florence, OR. When we pulled into town the night before, it was $3.05.

Hi: All...I just stopped in for some liquid gold( Texas Tea). 55.32 ltr's @ $1.17/ltr =$65.00. Of that $7.48 was tax. Mileage around town plus a couple short Sunday type drives 22.7 miles per Imperial gal.(4.54Ltr's) I think I'll just stop trying to figure it out!!!

Gas is still cheap if you look at what other countries pay.

Maybe so ... but don't spread that around.

Another excuse to put the price up!! What the market will bear, you know!

Seems like "they" can charge what ever "they" want to charge and we will just keep on payin' for it. Seems pretty straight forward.
