From time to time, we've had discussions on the price of gas. Unfortunately, those were recently lost. I'm just wondering, how much (if any) has the petrol in your area gone down?

The prices, here in the North Texas area where I live, have really been dropping. We were fortunate that it never quite made it to $3 a US gallon, but it went right up to it. The recent drop from about $2.99 a US gallon to $2.09 is really been something to smile about, but when my husband found it in East Texas for $1.96, I thought "Now THAT is progress!" That sounds like it's time to hook up the trailer and start camping!

Has it made it down that far where you live?

Below 2 bucks???? I am moving!

I have been averaging 2.49 or so the last month. It got to over 3 bones here after Katrina washed ALL the gasoline away from the California refineries..

Don't get me started.

Gina,
Where are you finding gas at that price? The best I've found is $2.66/gal. Thrifty might be a little less, but I'm uneasy about the quality.
What a Christmas present it would be if it would stay below $2 for an extended amount of time.
Mike, I hope your local prices prove to be a reliable forecast for the rest of the country!
Gonna be some crowded highways and campgrounds if the prices stay low. What a boon for the tourism and supporting industries! There might even be some work for some of the folks devastated by Katrina.
Suz, thanks for renewing the topic.

It's in line with what Gina said right around here. 2.49 at the cheapest stations (wamart and vons) to 2.75 at the more expensive stations.

I use http://www.gasbuddy.com to look up gas prices in the midwest and throw eggs that direction.

I'm with Gina...don't get me started.

Every store in Silver City, including Wal-Mart, is always the same price.

$2.49 yesterday. I haven't been to town today. Max was $3.10 a few weeks back.

Kurt, that's at most of the Valeros on the Mountian (Except OURS in hooterville which is getting retrofitted tanks this month) and also around Corona.

The town, not the Beer.

Has only dropped to 98.6 cents a litre out here - I think we are really getting ripped off out West.

Talking

As i told the guys at work a couple of months ago. ( It has only taken the oil companies thirty years to make us think that $2.00 gas is cheap.)

The lowest pticed gas on the planet is in Venisula (Spell) 16 cents a gallon

The highest price on the planet is the Neathrlands $6.45 a gallon.

I have been watching Diesel prices because I now have a Diesel truck. Here in N.W. Colorado the price of Diesel was at a high of $3.89 But it just went down to $3.29 WOW

This is totlally insane Diesel should be a dollar cheaper than regular instead of a dollar higher.

I bought th new Diesel in Jan 05 and on that day i got Diesel for $1.87 I havent since.

Oh By the way I havent been driving the Diesel instead i bought a used Subaru and i am getting about 32 mpg.
