Definetly interested. I just became a Boler owner yesterday! I live in Page AZ or the town right next to Lake Powell. Moab is always fun. Ouray Colorado is Beautiful. Goblin Valley is on the to do list.

Donna D., who is on this site also, said one time to just pick a time and place and announce it. Those that want/can come, will. I suggest everyone make their own reservations. It is a big hassle for the one person who is responsible for them.

We would be interested in a gathering in that neck of the woods.

Exactly RIGHT! I remember this conversation A gathering doesn't have to be difficult. Folks just want to know where and when... and where and when they're eating... like potluck times. Adults are often so overly scheduled, just give us lawnchair time to visit and forget all that other "stuff." Best of luck!

Donna D., thanks for chiming in. The few gatherings I have gone to are very casual. If it is a 3 day, there isn't much time to get alot done. Maybe a pot luck and wine tasting on the 2nd day. Most people come in on day 1, get set up. Day 2 has a few activities, day 3 is tear down and go home. People are responsible to make their own reservations because in case there is a change, they are tasked with it. If one person handles all reservations, it can be a big headache for cancellations, changes, etc. Not to mention the money handling. There is alot to see in the Moab area, people might want to go exploring.

One thing about planning a gathering in an area with lots of nearby activities, folks can plan their vacations around it. Some come early, some stay late. For instance, the Oregon Gathering is Thurs-Sunday, but I'm in the park for 8 nights. Some folks are there for 14!

You'll never get concensus on a date and place. Just pick, where you're not competing with other gatherings, post it and they will come. Best of luck, gatherings are fun!

Donna, Alice, and other interested people,
Progress has been made. Dates have been chosen. Stay tuned for updates. That's all I can say for now. There are a few of us working together on this to make it happen.

I hope it works out that we can come! I've never been to a gathering.. Moab would be an awesome place to do it especially in the spring when it's not too hot. I'm due in May, but my water broke while out camping under the stars with my last baby, so it wouldn't be the first time if it were to happen again

Ashley, I hope it works out for you too. Moab does have a small hospital but only staffed with nurses and maybe a PA. So maybe even contact the hospital if you haven't delivered by when the gathering will happen--just be sure you would be ok.

The good news is the hospital has a labor and delivery unit, and I have a cousin in Monticello Last time it was a coupe of hours drive (through Zion National park) to the hospital that was still three hours from home. I'm not too concerned.. Mostly just excited
