Generator

We were wondering if it is safe to carry a generator in an SUV. Wondering about gas fumes, safety, etc. Any opinions out there. I am sure there are, knowing this group!

I purchased the Honda EU2000iC a few months ago. There is a valve on the cap with an open/close vent. I keep the genset under the kitchen table when on the road and have noticed absolutely no fumes, whatsoever. Gas will escape if the unit is not kept upright (tips over), so make sure it is secure.

Gas fumes

I have an older honda 650 generator. it need to be stored empty of gas. If not there is a faint smell of gas in the car when you open it up after it has been sitting a while.
