Well about 100 kids so far gathering goodies for Halloween. Lots of moms and dads also dressed up in costumes. Its snowing now and roads are slippery.

It's now 8:30 in Canyon Country and we haven't had any at all. We live on a dead end street and the kids just pass it by... I guess we'll have to eat the cookies and candy. DARN!

Looks like we'll get our usual number of ghost and goblins. It's now 8:30 and we haven't seen a single trick or treater in over 10 years.

Hi: This hallowed evening has special meaning for me!!! My trick last year was to end up on the floor while giving out treats and being treated to a 30 mi. Ambulance ride along with a Dr. ,Nurse, and Paramedic. My treat was a shiny new pacer for my heart the next day!!! We do pay dearly for being Canadian... but I never saw an invoice for any of IT!!! It's not the fast pace of life that gets you...It's the sudden stop at the end. Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Only about 25 kids. I think we scared them with my son at the FT. door with his costume (He's on stilts)

They had a big party here in town for the little ghoulies. The terrain here is too hilly and not many houses are full time people, so the businesses throw a trick or treat on the main street.

Kind of like the old days when they did costume parades.

Of course, I expect to have some egg on my egg and my car.. happens every year.

Annual ritualized vandalism... glad I don't live there. I suppose the irresponsible morons of the world will always pick on isolated where homes they are less likely to get caught. We do see some sporadic mailbox vandalism around my neighborhood, for the same reason.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Actually, it happens in all types of "hoods". Seems to be a Holloween tradition in every place I have lived.

They were lazy last night tho.. no eggs.

I have to admit that in my youth, I threw the odd egg or two on Halloween (we're talking the 60's). Haven't seen it done around these parts in many years though. My town also closes down Main street to car traffic and the little kiddies trick or treat the businesses. Also it seems the trend is for local churches to have activities for the kiddies on the big night and I really like that too. We only had about 40-50 kids come to the door last night.

I asked hubby about dressing up Dumplin' as she sits in the back yard and he said that he thought it would just make a great big target in case egg-throwing were revived. Right now she sort of looks like a great big woolly mammoth with her grey cover on.

I know, I'm anthropomorphising my camper again, but I do the same things with my dogs. They surely don't believe their canine. Just ask em!

When I go, I'm coming back as a dog in my own house. Talk about the Life of Riley - they got it!

I LOVE Halloween! You get to dress up and seem normal!!! My boys were Woopie Cushions this year (I was so proud). I tried to talk them out of it, but NO WAY! They practiced their sound affects all week (I'm glad Halloween is over...)

I was so focused on the candy as a kid, I never had time for the vandalism.....

hee, hee...............

The LARGE Woopie is my neighbor, he couldn't believe he had competition!!!!

I was surprised when I visited the Store at Lake Casitas campground. You had to show ID proving you were over 21 to buy eggs.

After a particularly troubling Halloween several years ago, (involving bricks, not eggs) we installed Security Shutters. On Halloween we now close the shutters and padlock the gate in the front fence as soon as I get home from work.
