Thanks, Susan

$12 is through Camping World. I think that price is only for those that are Camping World's President club members.

Hi Christi, we had a membership for a few years. I mildly enjoyed the monthly newsletter that we received but never able to use the membership card for a Good Sam discount at a campground. Frankly some of the Good Sam approved places were a little scary...

My impression is that Good Sam has spun off to other commercial enterprises and membership for the sake of, has very little value. We have used our 5 year KOA membership way more often.

Opinion on camaraderie: Although I have neither been to Bullard's Beach or a Good Sam Jamboree I'm betting Bullard's is way more fun!

I have it for the road coverage. It seems to have more benefits than AAA and is specifically geared to RVs, tho it works just like AAA for when I am just driving the car. It was a few bucks cheaper too.

If your car breaks down, they take it to the shop, and YOU and your trailer to a campground or RV park at no extra towing charge.

The one service they provide that set me over vs. AAA was that they will come get your pets and make sure they get transported home or to a safe place if you are ever unable to care for them due to an accident etc while on the road. You PAY for the transportation and/or boarding, but they take care of all the arrangements.

Fortunately, I have not had to use any of these services yet, but I do feel real good about them being available.

I saved 3 bucks at an RV park.. woo hoo! Thats the only time I used it for a discount.
