I use both. Gotta use your head though about following the GPS blindly because sometimes it's made a very poor choice of directions. On more than one trip I've had it tell me to turn out in the middle of nowhere where no road exists to turn onto. When our grandsons were in elementary and we brought them to our house for a week, we handed each of them an atlas and told them to look nw (or whatever direction) and tell us what town or lake or whatever was X number of miles away. Didn't take them very long to "get it". Of course, my grandkids are probably the smartest (and best looking) anywhere. I expect a modest amount of disagreement on that.

A GPS strength I value is it's assistance choosing a lane on a high speed road in a city. Sometimes within 1/4 mile there are 4 choices left and right, the traffic is running ~65 MPH, the 6 lanes feel like 600 lanes, and if you're like me you aren't used to people zooming all over the place. Trust the magic voice for lane selection and get thru it!

Repeating what has been said here before but perhaps a little differently, you are in charge, not the disjointed voice. The instructions must make sense to you.
