Just wanted to share something that happened today.

We got home from our camping trip today. I had placed an order with Amazon before we left, and was expecting the package to be on our back porch. It never occurred to me that someone out here in our rural area would steal anything. But the package was missing.

I emailed Amazon and told them what happened. I got an email back from them saying that they were sorry my package had been stolen, and that they were reshipping my items by free one day delivery at no cost to me.

I didn't expect that. It wasn't their fault the package was stolen. But it sure did make me feel better about ordering from them in the future!

Wow!

I have also been impressed with Amazon's customer service. They make it really easy to track your shipment without even needing to leave the original website. They deliver when they say they will and make sure everything is like you wanted it. I tend to think twice before ordering things online, but I feel very comfortable ordering from Amazon.

I've ordered a lot of things from Amazon and in all the years, I've only had one thing stolen--a pair of pants. They sent me another pair but the problem was that then the UPS man wanted a signature for every package. We had a hard time convincing them to leave stuff on the porch after that. UPS and Fed Ex seem to give quality service and you can always track their packages. The Post Office seems to deliver stuff when they feel like it and there's never any way to know when it's coming.

That is great customer service! I had a great experience with American Express when I ordered an item (can't remember the company it was from) but never received it. I had a hard time getting help from the company. When I got my AmEx bill I called their customer service & explained my problem. AmEx said no problem, they would deal with the company for me & remove the charge from my bill, and they did. Thumbs up to AmEx!
