A lot of interest in Vardos lately, especially as tiny homes. Lovely, really.
I really like the ones this woman in Canada builds:

I almost went that route...Again lol!....I built 2 teardrop trailer sized "vardo'ish" tiny travel trailers... They are cute, and I did give it some serious thought's of building or buying a larger standup sized one with a layout with a shower/porta potty, but the gas mileage towing the mini one was cruddy. I got around 12 miles to the gallon with my Rav4, closer around 15 with my ParkLiner lol.

I guess if fuel economy isn't a big deal then I would say go for it!

I cannot understand why anyone would build a door in the front, where wind and water will strike at 60+ mph and most likely be forced into the trailer. Other than that, at least the roof looks like it sheds water quite well.

Well Mike, I wanted the deck in front and had the galley off the back so I didn't have much choice. With good weatherstripping on the door, other then the one time where I drove for 5+ hours on the highway in pouring rain I had very little to no leakage inside.

Beautiful work, Deryk. I think most people build the vardos for tiny houses that are capable of moving, but don't move much.... I, too, wish we had a "like' button.!

Oops... sorry, Deryk. I was looking at that bowtop, and gave no thought to yours. I could have phrased that more diplomatically! Glad to hear that yours didn't leak.
