i'm going out on a limb at $6,500 ... they are just so darned rare. it could even get crazy and go much higher. it really is all about how many people are in the market at that point in time.

i just paid a lot of money for something on eBay a month ago, and last week the same item went for opening bid with only 1 bidder! you just never know who is going to show up. and yes ... i snipe and yes it does work. i set my sniper to 1 second before auction ending and no one can refresh their screen that fast. yes, it is awful, and takes all of the fun out of it - but when you ABSOLUTELY have to have it ... SNIPE IT!

regardless, i have been watching this one and cant wait to see the outcome.
good luck Joe!

38 minutes to go and the price is up to $5250.

Not much time left to change your guesses ....

Looks like you guessed right Rich, I was expecting a last minute bid or even a snipe. Surprised me.

Theresa P from NB came in a close second at $5245 with her guess placed 2 days ago.

Yes, I expected this software to snipe in as well, hence my crazy "upgrade"...

Thanks to all for participating, it was fun. Obviously my $6,250.00 was way high. Does anyone know how many of these were actually produced or is this one the only one and they never made it to production. I remember when the edition of the magazine came out with the contempo, I may have it somewhere, that the price for the times was way high. Lee

I propose that Rich be disqualified from the high bid guess contest since he was actually bidding and won this trailer. To me, that insider information was unfair and makes Theresa P the winner of this contest.

Any thoughts on this since Rich won the trailer?

Although I had no way of knowing if I would be out bid I respectfully withdraw my guess and would agree that the $5245 guess by Theresa P be declared the winner. I'm too excited to do otherwise.

Rich

Roy I think you are right . Theresa P is our winner with a guess of $5245 and graciously Rich has withdrawn ( but obviously Rich is the big winner - he got the trailer ). Lee

Just goes to show you Lee ...

You win some, you lose some.

Congratulations to both Rich and Theresa P!
