How about a guessing pool ( not a betting pool !! ) as to how much the Contempo Condo in the for sale area ultimately sells for. I'm guessing $6,250.00 Lee

I think it will stay under 6000, so I'm guessing $5,950

I wonder what people think it is worth. I know, I know. It is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Is there an objective way to gauge its value?

Hi: All...To establish an objective value you need two participants. A buyer thats interested...and a seller that isn't!!!

After actually viewing this trailer, because I was too curious about it not to, [b]my gut reaction was that it was worth at least $5000 in it's present condition in this (Southern California) market.

I see that the bidding has stalled at $4300...

4460 hits at 1 day 5 hrs to go. It may be stalled at the present time, yet in my experience one usually sees a flurry of activity in the last few minutes.

The the seller does have it listed off of ebay and reserves the right to pull the listing at any minute.

If the auction goes through, my pick is $5406. I reserve the right to change that as auction end approaches. I'll have to take a closer look at the actual bids. I've watched enough of these to guestimate final price within $200 most times.

I have been outbid at the last possible second on several ebay auctions, so I checked into just how come this happens. There is a program you can buy called 'PowerSnipe' that will drop in your top bid in the last few seconds before the auction ends. sneeeeky
I'll betcha there's a couple of bidders lurking out there, just biding their time........

It will go to someone wanting a unique camper, so it has a collecter value of sorts, and seeings its in as good a shape as most anything out there(esp for its year) I'll guess it heads towards 8-9thousand easily. Someone looking for a 3000 dollar scamp or uhaul isnt looking at this seriously. It's a collecter item for sure. Bruce

For all those reasons I never bought anything off of eBay. I tried once, but that was enough. Not my style, but to anybody their own!

Some of us like to do it manually, put our bid in on one window and watch the auction on another with our mouse poised over the confirm bid button in the 1st window. Waiting for the clock to tick away.

Snipe software takes all the fun out of it.

Having taken a few moments to look at the bid history, top bidder o***d is sitting with high bid at $4300 showing, my gut says his/her bid placed Apr-04-10 09:52:19 PDTis actually $4501.

i'm going out on a limb at $6,500 ... they are just so darned rare. it could even get crazy and go much higher. it really is all about how many people are in the market at that point in time.

i just paid a lot of money for something on eBay a month ago, and last week the same item went for opening bid with only 1 bidder! you just never know who is going to show up. and yes ... i snipe and yes it does work. i set my sniper to 1 second before auction ending and no one can refresh their screen that fast. yes, it is awful, and takes all of the fun out of it - but when you ABSOLUTELY have to have it ... SNIPE IT!

regardless, i have been watching this one and cant wait to see the outcome.
good luck Joe!

38 minutes to go and the price is up to $5250.

Not much time left to change your guesses ....

Looks like you guessed right Rich, I was expecting a last minute bid or even a snipe. Surprised me.

Theresa P from NB came in a close second at $5245 with her guess placed 2 days ago.
