guilty pleasure
ok,,,time for a confession, does anyone else find their camper the perfect spot for a clandistine nap?
several times now my wife has found me and my dog,,um,,, testing the campers air flow.
and at least once, my daughter came over to catch the wife and i and both dogs snoring loudly enough to give away our position.

John, I'm guilty too. I love to just sit in the camper and dream. I love the 'feel' of it, the 'smell' of it and just 'being' there. I love sleeping in the camper when there is a thunderstorm happening. LOL Maybe bc camping has so many good memories.

My twin 15 year old girls had an anime party. Twelve gigling girls and a loud television. My brother and I sat out in the Trillium and drank beer and talked till most of them left.
It was nice to have an escape pod.

Napping and quilt are unrelated.

I know what you mean, the bed is so comfy and it is just so cozy there. I think i might have a hard time taking a nap in there cuz DH is always working on something. Gotta get the windows tinted and then look out nap time here i come!

Norm and Ginny:
Actually, with a choice of three quilts on the Burro bed I feel that they are VERY related to naps. She who dies with the most fabric..........
On the other hand, guilt doesn't enter into it. YMMV

Yep, I went out the other night in "camp driveway" and slept in the trailer so I too could hear the rain on the roof. Gotta love that......

Knew a fella once who used to get banished to his little trailer whenever he and his wife had a spat. She thought it was punisment, he did not. Longest time was six(6) days. He was allowed in for meals, showers and to change into his uniform etc. to go to work. I say again, she thought it was punishment, he did not...... D

There was one of those email spam jokes that I read which went on about the things that a guy wants to tell his wife / girl friend. The part that I remember is "I know that I will probably be sleeping on the couch, but did you know that guys don't mind that so much? It is kinda like camping."
In a trailer, even more so.

Napping???? I slept every night in my 13-foot Scamp in the backyard for the whole month of August last year! I also went to two vintage trailer camps that month as well.
The house gets hot during the day and the Scamp cools down much faster. Plus, it is so cozy and kind of like a sun room in the morning. I consider it a portable addition to the house.
I'll probably be sleeping out there again this summer. I'm considering doing a kitchen remodel in the house so I might be dutch oven and coleman stove cooking in the backyard as well.
Then there's the house bathroom that could use some work.....

I had an old (70s) Winnebago that was nicknamed "The Chicken Ranch" by friends of the previous owner. I owned it for several years before someone told me about its history. Wondered why the door key was so worn. Seems the PO took it to conventions and "loaned" it to his friends for unsanctioned activities.
I named it "The Sow's Ear" but never did make a silk purse of it. Eventually it turned into a mobile storage unit, then was sold to a guy who wanted a restoration challenge. At least it left my yard under its own power.
