Hail vs Fiberglass

We just had a massive hailstorm in parts of the Black Hills. At my house it was about 3/4 inch diameter, driven by 50 mph wind, and lasted about 20 minutes. When it was over there hail-drifts nearly a foot deep in places. An insurance adjustor just inspected my house and says I need new shingles. My cedar siding looks like the stain has been sand-blasted off.

So how did my Bigfoot fare? One plastic roof vent cover is broken. The other one has a Maxxair cover that is fine. The plastic vent cover for the stove fan is broken. There are some chips in a fender skirt. I can't find a mark anywhere on the fiberglass hull on this trailer.

If this had happened to an Airstream, it would have been totaled.

Before the storm, the trailer was a little dirty from the last trip. Now it looks like it was pressure washed. Probably need to add some wax soon.

Sorry you suffered ANY loss David. But, we've heard before the huge difference between ALL MOLDED versus the "other guys."

Wax is cheap... glad you skated through with minimal damage
