Having the Queen as our symbolic head of state means that our politicians, even when they become Prime Minister (Presidential equivalent) remain just politicians, and not an invinceable symbol of the prestige of the nation. That alone earns her tax deduction 8-).

LOL on that point alone there is a lot to be said for keeping the Queen around. That's another interesting part of being Canadian our Prime Minster isnt actually elected as such.
