I just didn't want you to be expecting a response from a long dead thread.

Ed

That all rhymes!

Oh and welcome here too.
Thank you Ed. I like the "one eye open" comment LOL
I didn't notice the age of this post. But who knows, perhaps someone does reply with more recent shipping info. I don't know how this forum works and if the age of a post has an impact on peoples response or not. I need to brush up on my forum skills :-)
Should you know of a trustworthy shipping company, please let me know. I am still trying to find a reasonable price to ship from E -> W coast.
Thank you.
Alex

Well Alex,
Maybe you and Cricket can work something out. You need something from E to W and she needs something shipped frowm W to E. A return trip might make it more enticing to someone hauling.

Old Bigfoot

You said the Bigfoot was a 84 so it is 28 years old. No import tax is due. Who ever brings it through the boarder must stop and get the free import paper so you can license it in the US.

Call Escape and get the name of their local shipping company...

I had my 19' delivered from the Escape factory in BC to my door in Southern California for a very reasonable price from a small trucking company that Escape uses for their deliveries. They did a good job with mine and have a lot of experience shipping Eggs. Good luck!

Steve

Steve, do you happen to know the shippers name by any chance? I hesitate contacting Escape since I won't be buying an Escape, so they are probably not very interested in helping me.
Im surprised that the Honda Pilot pulls a 19'...

The shipper is "DBA Let It Ride Carriers" and Dave is the owner. His cell# is 425-374-9528. My Pilot is rated at 4500 lbs and the 19' GVW is rated at 4000. I've been pulling it around with no problem. Good luck!

Though Steve was able to help you, Tammy at Escape is most definitely the kinda girl that would still be glad to help, whether you were buying from them, or not.

I have been towing the Escape 19 for 4 years now with my Honda Pilot. It is a fantastic combination. I have yet to find need for a WDH with the stiffness the Pilot rear suspension has.

Three Escape owners in the Midwest used Let It Ride carriers for the delivery of our trailers from Chilliwack to Saulte St Marie ONT. Overall we were satisfied with the delivery. With winter weather it took eight days. The only issues were a lost plastic propane cover and some bent scissor jacks. I would use them again and since we found them they seem to have become the carrier for Escape factory deliveries. I think they also do Trillium factory deliveries.
