Help me understand...

The young generation and their attempt to fix their cars. I can not see how they can turn their wheels in front and the rear rims scrape the wheel wells.
I saw this vehicle upon leaving HD today after buying some cherry allure flooring I'm going to install in Quahog real soon.

just another fad! Probably the car has a hydraulic suspension to raise the body when driving. I'm more of a restoration / preservationist type guy. I can't deal with those new spoked large diameter wheels put on 60's cars. Probably because I have 60's cars, wouldn't put them on my '76 pickup either.

The word on the street and The Street is the current Gen post-Zed will be the first generation since WWII to fall below their parents' generation in occupational opportunity and material prosperity. Maybe low riding is a statement about low expectations. Who says you have to understand them?

There was a post over at the Tuner's Forum asking why old guys put wood flooring in fiberglass trailers.

Bob may be right. It's how to bury a lot of money in a roller skate coupe and not let it show. Clearly budding engineers with an anti-ostentation bias.

That is priceless!

I'm just glad they show some interest in driving. At a school, bingo, fundraiser, I discussed it with the other parents, most of their kids also show no interest in diving. What is up with that? Is our public transit system that good?

I waited to see if they came back, I needed to watch to see how they turned the front wheel, I put my finger under the lip, it was barely a pinky space in front and the rear was even closer.

Yeah- ridiculous how those whippersnappers will ruin a perfectly good car, ain't it?

Whereever do you s'pose they get it from?

I had a '72 Datsun pickup with rubbing front tires.
Took the skinny tires off and replaced with chrome wide tires.
Chrome wheels and tires that is.
