Hibernation

Well, put the scamperoo into hibernation tonight, was pretty sad to see her away like that.

Here's a photo I took of her all put away.

I think I'll send mine south for the winter, at part of the winter anyway. Of course I have with the Scamp too.

My baby is cover and went into hibernation a few weeks ago. I'm ready for Spring to get here. I don't like the cold and snow at all.

I am going to give my Casita a Christmas present this year and take her to Florida this winter . She has been in hibernation for 3 weeks and Wisconsin winters are really long

Wow, looks nice & snug. And I notice there's a "sentry" guarding it, too (4-legged kind)! Should be safe & sound for its long winter nap.

Unfortunately now that it's in hibernation there's no getting her out until spring. She's going to be blocked in that spot until winter's end.

The deal was too good to turn down for indoor storage though.

Tante Marie awaits spring

Here is our Campster put in the shed waiting for spring.
It is close-I can see it from our dining room window.
Plan on doing some changes as weather allows-getting ready for spring.

So, I have to ask...is "Tante Marie" named after a favorite auntie? She sure looks cozy in her shed. And, I'd be willing to bet that she's keeping an eye on YOU as well, in case you had a notion to take a camping trip without her!

Tante Marie

My wonderful grandma was called Tante Marie in her homeland-Denmark-her friends called her that here in America.
I thought it was a nice way to honor her.

Excellent tribute; I'm sure your grandma approves. My mother was very honored years ago to have one of our new calves named after her!
