Highway #20 from Williams Lake to Bella Coola, BC

Trying to scope out a trip for the summer. Has anyone been through #20? Is it paved and a road you would pull your trailer down?

I have not let been on Hy20 but hope to do so.

It is not paved all the way, information about road conditions can be found at DriveBC.

This is supposed to a most beautiful drive through very rugged country. A lot of people tow their fishing boats over this road to fish out out Bella Coola.

I met a friend At 150mi after returning with his boat from fishing at Bella Coola and he needed some quite time and stiff drink.

It is trip worth taking and I hope to do it soon.

Richard

The road isn't paved all the way but the seal coated part was as good as if not better then the paved part when we went to Bella Coola. The hill down was not that bad either (they did a lot of work 10 years back ... or so). There is a great campground in Hagensborg just outside Bella Coola called the Gnomes Home Campground.
Gnome's Home RV Park & Campground
I would take my 19' Escape in there any time.

Thanks for thanks for the information Doug. We will be riding bicycles from Bella Coola in June.
