Hello friendly FGRV folks.
I'm home from work today, running a fever and fighting whatever bug has invaded my body.
Temp got in the 70's F on Monday and we slept with the windows open that night. Woke up yesterday with a sore throat, etc. It got progressively worse as the day went on.
So, I'm home today as to not infect my coworkers and get some rest. Oh, and I'll be catching up on my FGRV.com reading!
The weather gets nice , I get sick

Could it be allergies? Trees and shrubs are having wild sex orgies right now and the pollen count is through the roof!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

This could be the first time I have seen the phrase "wild sex orgies" posted on FGRV.com
Could be the pollen, I do have some nasty allergies. I was treated with allergy shots weekly for about 5 years of my childhood. I take Nasacort AQ now and I love the stuff.
The fever leads me to believe there is a critter living inside me.

Fever means "sick", not allergic.. tho, a combo of both can be really annoying.
I am not a doctor, but I SAW one on TV just yesterday talking about this very thing. There is a bug going around nation wide and it is exactly as you describe. Several of my co-workers have it too.
FEEL BETTER! Go sleep in your trailer.. it's cozy! Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Gina,
Are you saying that he should 'burro' into the covers and take a nap?

Sore throat -- That's exactly how it starts.
I also suffer with allergies and never quite know whether they are acting up or if I'm getting something. Fortunately for me, I rarely get sick with what's going around, but I got this one, for sure, I think. Anyway, just in case, I've been popping *name brand* to help reduce the length of it and it actually seems to be working. I haven't gotten nearly as sick as some have. I hate to tell you this, but if your going to ride this out at home, you're probably going to be there for a while. This is one hanger on-er.
Ironically, my allergies have and do cause me to run a low grade fever at times. Nothing noteworthy, just very low.
Take care, Jeremy.

This sounds like a real bad case of spring fever. The cure is to go and hug an egg. Wash it gently, wax and polish with care, tow to campground and try to relax. Caution the symptoms may last past fall freeze-up.
Hang in there. We're all pullin' for ya!

I vote for allergies. I get this same thing at least twice a year. mine is usually a low grade fever (I think that's what you call one that's lower and not higher??) but the throat comes into it and the chest. smear on the smelly stuff and heat pack 'um. or does that make a fever go up?? never mind, I'm not a doctor and didn't see one on TV last night.

I prefer the Irish Cure, requiring a hat, a four-poster bed and a bottle of whisky.

Oh know, the Iowa mumps is now an epidemic!
Jeremy if it's the mumps you'll know it...being a guy and all, you er, um, cough, um...won't be able to walk...if you get my drift. Hope you have kids, mumps can make adult males sterile. cough, choke...red faced here, afterall this is a family forum.
I vote for Allergies!!!

I am not a doctor, but I do take care of patients in the hospital. One of my patients told me last week about his cure for allergies, colds, etc. He likes hot honey and wiskey. Drink the whisky and take the hot honey to bed...

Thanks to everyone for the words of concern. I am heading to work today. I'm sure I have in excess of 200 emails to take care of, plus whatever else awaits.
I don't think it is the mumps. I can "walk" just fine and I don't have lumps around my mouth. Mumps has been in the news a lot here lately.
I do have two kids, if you click on my name you can see a picture of them!
I still am a little under the weather but feeling a little bit better. Tonight I'll try the hot honey and whiskey remedy (if my wife buys it)
