yeah... I think it's called that. Janifer has her Buttercup and Escape, Charlie Watts has his Casita and tow vehicle, Lainey has that cool egghead smiley, and Mary has the smiley with the Fiberglass rules handsign... how do you get them there?

:jump-r I know :)
at the top of the page is a My Home button. - click it
that brings up a page that has 5 more buttons - click My Settings
at the bottom of this page is a box for signature - this is where the link to your picture goes.
if you don't have a link, you need to get one.

now, how I got mine -

click reply or new post when you are in the forum part. while in the reply window - like I am now writing this answer - you upload a picture. it needs to be small or the load time is too much. now after you have loaded this, you will see a link in you post. ex: [ img] www.fdd---- [ /img] this is the link to copy (ctrl+c). then hit the back button.(do not submit the reply) now go to My Settings and paste (ctrl+v) it to the signature box.
they probably tell you this in the tutorial at the bottom of the forum page. or maybe the help button at the top? if you have trouble message me. :)

How do you...

How do you post a picture in the text area. I was up[ late looking at the pet pictures and camp outs and thought I should send a picture from our maiden voyage out west through crater lake, yellowstone brookings, redwoods etc. Can't figure out how to do that. Don't have a website, either.
Can:conf anyone give simple directions on how to do this.

here goes, If you have questions just ask.

Picture type and size
1. Photo uploads all need to be either .jpg or .gif files. for me jpg loads the best in the large files, but for the avatar by your name gif is better in my opinion.
2. There can be no spaces or funny emblems like $ ^ in the name title. You can use -.
3. Picture size is very important. there are many programs that size pictures. maybe you have one already. I use Photo something and and/or MS publisher. there is also an Image program that came with my computer.
- - no bigger then 500 pixels wide. I use 498.
- - picture file no bigger then 80 KB
- - no more then 72 pixels per inch for the fastest loading.
To post
1. Hit reply button in the topic you want the post or start a new topic in the area of choice, like General, modifications, etc. if you are doing something with your trailer and want to single it out. Which many people with mods do. they then add to that topic to keep their pictures together.
2. While in the reply window (which is where you are when you answer a post) look to the left and click the Upload Photo words. follow instructions. real easy if you have the picture size correct.
3. load no more then two pictures per post. you can then do another post in the same topic if you have other pictures. Too many in one post and the load time is too long for us dial up people. :)

I was just starting to write and ask you what you did, Ron? Maybe webguy can fix it when he gets here.

Signature block

Jana,

Maybe the size is to large. How large can it be? I may have to change it.

How do I do this

Jana - I've tried several times before to post an image and it didn't work, so I'm trying this again. I got some odd message about correct formats and pixel widths. I thought JPG was a correct format.
