How early can you check into state parks

Dawn was able to get off this Friday and I have half the day off. We were going to try and check into Stud Stewart Park around 1:00 to 2:00 on Friday. On the reservation details it says check in is 4:00. Has anyone had problems checking in earlier at camp grounds?

It usually depends on the day and season. Many parks let you check in early on Friday because no one is using the site on Thursday night. Weekends are frequently another matter unless it's off season.

At many parks like Myrtle Beach State Park you can simply go into the park and use the beach and so on until your site is empty.

Basically if no one is on your site they let you in. It eases their job not having the 4PM crush.

When I go to Bullards and the Oregon Gathering, I just drive in to see if my site it vacant. If it is I back-in and unhitch. I go down later and check in. I've never had a problem doing this.

You might have a bit of a problem checking into "Stud Stewart Park"
But you shouldn't have any problems checking in early to "L.L. Stub Stewart Start Park"

Sorry, the devil made me do it.

I once showed up at Bullard's Beach State Park a whole DAY early, and it didn't faze them at all... of course I paid for the extra day.

I routinely arrive there between 1:00 and 2:00 in the afternoon with no problems.
