First, check with my better half to be sure there was not something significant I promised to do for the next hour.
I scored this gutted out 1976 Scamp
. I'm sealing the several holes made in the body, refitting the door, and waiting for window glass and strip parts to come in the mail to refurbish the old windows
Today I scraped out the old window caulk, used a solvent to remove the rest, and blow out the edges with a garden hose. I'll caulk these again when all dries.
I took off the door hinges, cooked them in a crockpot for remove the paint
and replaced the hardware. I will be making new holes in the trailer to hang the hinge, the old holes are off. Since the old holes are so close to where the new ones will go, I'm first patching the old holes. I mostly use just fiberglass filler but I'm also lining the area with resin and fabric for improved durability.
I enjoy splatting my progress on this forum but I am also new, if this goes elsewhere or its just obnoxious, I invite you to educate me on the etiquette of this site.
