How to Remove Mold from Roof of Boler?

Hi,
I guess by tarping my Boler over the last few winters I've invited some mold to grow on the roof, nothing too serious but lots of small dots of black all over the roof. Ok I guess it is alot.

So my plan was to put some degreaser spray on the roof, let it settle in then pressure wash it off. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Has anyone else had this issue and what have you done to get rid of it.

Cheers

I use a Bleach / Water mix in a tree sprayer, let set for a while and then use a garden hose to wash off.

I then scrub/wash with a Wash and Wax product and then wash that off with cold water garden hose. I do not use a High pressure washer on the camper because it can remove sealant, decals, get under things, inside things and do other things not so nice.

Hi Darwin, I think you mentioned before you use 50/50 bleach to water right? As for the sprayer do you mean the handheld type used to spray / spritz indoor plants and such? Is that so it doesn't run everywhere?
It sounds like a good plan for me as well..

I use the outside type that holds a gallon or more. The tip is adjustable to spritz or shower.

I found that spray nine is the best. I tried all sorts of stuff until someone at Bolerama told me about spray nine.

Well I ended up using a product called "super clean" its a heavy duty purple colored degreaser spray that I picked up at Walmart in the automotive section.

I got up on a ladder and spray the roof like crazy with this stuff, let it sit for a few minutes then went down the the car wash and pressure washed the roof in the RV bay. The mold just wiped away like it was new.

However I'm wondering how good the pressure washing idea wash, as someone else mentioned it will put water in places that it shouldn't be. But the results of a shiny white roof were fantastic.

I have a picture to show everyone of the roof clean in progress but can't figure out how to load the pic. Seems I can only add an http link not attach the actual image.

It's actually pretty easy to do, see if this helps: Picture Posting help by Donna D. The link actually takes you to another thread, but then directly to the info.

This is the opinion of someone that the last I heard has 6 computers

Yes I have your link Donna but have a hard time getting through all the steps it takes to pull a picture off my hard drive and into a post.
