I have a 13' Scamp with 13" stock rims . Will any 13" hub caps fit these rims?

After several failed attempts to keep hub caps on my Compact Jr., I bought 13" wheel covers and have been very happy with them.

Your caps look GREAT. But will any 13" hub caps fit a stock 13" Scamp rim?

The term "any" is the gotcha. In fact, not all wheels are hub-cap ready. And it depends on the hub cap.. some require the nubs to be on the outside, some on the inside.

So, I'd say "No" to "Any."

Here's a quote from this eBayer (no these won't fit 13")
Quote:
AGAIN NOTE THAT THIS IS AN OUTSIDE SNAP STYLE BABY MOON WHERE THE NUBS ARE LOCATED ON THE OUTSIDE CENTER OF THE WHEEL. I ALSO HAVE OTHER SIZES AVAILABLE AS WELL AS INSIDE SNAP BABY MOONS.

Maybe this website will help you measure and determine what you need:

Kevin- --on my 83 Scamp w/original wheels (I think) the "little nubbies" are on the inside of the wheel center. I use baby moons like the ones on my "smoothie" chrome wheels sold by Les Scwab, a chain store tire place. see attached photos of cars.

They are not overly expensive and last for several years with basic upkeep, cleaning, waxing, etc. Hope this helps... Larry

I have the 3 small nubs on the inside of the wheel. I took off rusted baby moons that snaped inside on these nubs. I was thinking of using a 13" hub cap that fits on the outer wheel . (see yellow arrows) Has anyone had any luck using a full 13" hubcap

Kevin, you can no longer link images from another website:
Some Minor Changes

Can you please upload the picture to FiberglassRV, so we know what you're talking about...

Kevin,
Your wheel and mine look identical. My biggest worry about wheel covers was that the axle, hub assembly, and dust cover stick out 2 3/4" from the surface of the wheel. I didn't know if a wheel cover would have clearance. This was not a problem and the Smoothies from hubcapmike fit great.
