Hudson River Valley

Does anyone have some good places to set up our Snoozy in the Hudson River Valley?? Heading up from Sleepy Hollow for about 2 months. Also, any "must sees". We love the state parks or that type of setup. We hope to hop over to Toronto to say yellow to mayor Ford.

Sleepy Hollow as in by Tarrytown NY and the place where Washington Irving is buried? We live in the Hudson Valley, about 10 miles from the Hudson River and the city of Hudson. Lot of history here, but we haven't camped here. Usually go to the Adirondaks or Vermont. There is a privately owned campground a few miles from us, Fox Hill in Spencertown / Austerlitz. Heard there is a real crappy campground near Woodstock NY.

We are headed to the mountains also. Seems like there aren't hookups at the state parks, or they are booked up. We have a Lil Snoozy. We'll keep looking. Thanks.

We have been in two NY state parks that had electric hookups in some areas, Sampson which is in the Finger Lakes area and Fairhaven Beach which is on Lake Ontario. It can be hard to find a site this time of year. By chance was this Snoozy at Jekyll Island this past winter?

DEC campgrounds in the Adirondack or Catskill Parks do not have power. Most all the other state ones (run by Parks) do in our experience. We live across the river from Mary & Bob, in southeastern Albany County, but rarely (if ever) camp around here. Best bet for you folks would be private campgrounds, but I don't know of any on the Hudson or even close, at least around us.

Not us at Jekyll Island. Thanks for the feedback. Found a nice campground Interlake RV Park near Hyde Park. Then will head upstate.
