There are bunches of stickie ultra light small trailers. Few molded manufacturers though... that's what makes ours unique and wonderful!

I can winterize it in 15 minutes if need be with a built in winterizing kit.

If you go to one of the videos for the 1575 there is a shot inside the front storage where you have access to the pump and slide electronics. The pump has a 2 way valve, normal and winterizing. There is a 24" long hose attached to the valve which you insert in the antifreeze bottle. You go inside and turn on the pump and then each faucet/flush toilet until you have pink coming out. Turn off the pump and you are done. You can then leave the hose in the bottle and use the toilet, the system will automatically pull anti freeze into the toilet each time you flush.
To dewinterize you just attach fresh water to trailer or if you have water in the tank, turn valve to normal and flush. Very simple and easy.

we like ours just for that reason lowprofile makes it much easyer for wife to get into trailer,,and it goes in a 10'ft hight door no problem even with ac on top..ours is light weight,3480# on title about 5,000 loaded...Ron

I'd certainly trade making the bed for being on the road. We met a couple who retired at 55 and full timed in a large rig for 10 years. Stopped and became a home couple but soon discovered how much it was in their blood and now at 79 are traveling in a Casita.....

OK, thanks for the update. Sounds like what we have in the BF. It is dead easy and you won't be dissapointed with it's ease of use. 5 minutes max to complete.

TIP: for the west coasters where snow and harsh temps are infrequent. Look in the household plumbing section of your local big box hardware retail chain for plumbing antifreeze. It's cheaper and in larger quantities than RV antifreeze at any RV dealer.
It appears that the buyers for the big box stores think we have the same weather here on the wet coast as they do in the east so it often ends up in inventory here and just sits there! :-)

Is it compatible with the rv antifreeze. Rv antifreeze is not poisonous, that is why you can use it in your water lines, you can drink it without side effects. I've thought of using other alternatives such as automotive windshield washer which is really inexpensive, but the label says it is poisonous. So be careful of alternates.

Windshield washer fluid contains methanol. It may contain other poisonous chemicals, as well.

That is why I'm questioning use of plumber's antifreeze, it too maybe hazardous.

Plumbing Antifreeze is designed specifically for use in summer cabins and is put into all potable waterlines to prevent potable water lines from freezing up over the winter

RV antifreeze is actually the exact SAME plumbing antifreeze, re-labeled for use in RV's with the price doubled (or more) as it is 'specifically for use in RVs" and is therefore sold at RV "stealerships", rather than at a big box home improvement store.

This is the same marketing ploy as the VERY poisonous gas line antifreeze you add to your car fuel tank and pay a couple of bucks for a 4 oz bottle, at the gas station -

you can get a gallon of methyl hydrate in the paint section of a big box store for about the price of 2 little bottles at the gas stn or auto parts store.

I get RV antifreeze for $3.99 a gallon at our local Bi-Mart. A gallon is more than enough to winterize my trailer with some left over for spring camping. I don't think that's expensive in the grand scheme of things. YMMV

That is the going rate, $3.99 @ CW with free shipping. Yes and a gallon is about all I need also. Remember to also pour some down your drains and toilet.

Around here, if I go to an RV "$tealership" its more likely going to be $7.99 a gal, while the same stuff in Canadian Tire would be $4.50, $3.99 at a big box, and about $2.95 as "Plumbing Antifreeze" at a discount store

Never thought of that, I guess I could catch the drains in a basin and then put back in the bottle. Maybe 50% recovery, the rest goes down the drains. Good idea, Norm
