The idea of doing my egg as a Faberge Egg as been on my mind since I bought Lovely Lovey! She's the perfect candidate...sophisticated, beautiful, shapely...why, she's practically royalty herself! She SHOULD be so pretty!

http://www.mieks.com/Faberge2/1897-Coronation-Egg.htm

So, what do think? And, of course, the name! That must be special! Ideas?

I am going to contact a friend of mine in ad to see if Faberge would shrinkwrap it for me!
I'd love it!

Boondocking in a Faberge egg! Gives new meaning to roughing it. How about Roaminoff?

Aren't they fab! You know, Christie, I was always told if your second toe was longer than your largest, first toe, you were of royal blood! As my appendage certainly is, I shall finally have a fitting carriage! No?

Oh my goodness! Aren't you so clever. Every time I saw this since I had a peak at the forum yesterday but didn't have time to respond, I giggled! Raominoff is perfect!!!
I am most impressed, Maggie!!!

I've seen these before, Nancy. What an artist! Don't you paint some of these eggs, too?

I have been thinking about my plan of attack. I have some cool Ralph Lauren stencils that would work well and I may use some of my colored wax. Last year, I put some on the Lovebug and was able to remove it one week later. It was an experiment that I think could be useful as I go for my Faberge Egg!

Getting the crown affixed to the top could be a challenge...but, I'm up for it!

I can see some rhinestones on my tire cover, gold on the hubcaps with more jewels...
My design studio is full of goodies for this project! Won't the neighbors think (or rather confirm) that I've gone off the deep end for sure!!!

I couldn't see the pics- got a page not there message.

But I know what a Faberge Egg is! And it's a GREAT IDEA!!! What a project it would be, and what an attention getter. It would be fun.

Hey, Deb! You know, I really have the camper to get away from everyone, I am a Thoreau at heart! And, yet, I can't keep my hands off the Lovebug! It's just too much fun making it look special! People already come over to look at the Lovebug, so, I may as well make it fabo!

I'd really like to have a jewel tone as the base color...emerald green, pink saphire, topaz, something very showy. But, I don't want to paint it. So, I'll have to get as much glitz as I can in the accessories and design.

It's too bad we don't live nearer each other, Deb! What fun we could have!

Gigi, check out this site of Art Cars. It might give you some ideas about decorating your trailer!

Nancy, what a great website the artcars.com for products. They have some "temporary" paints and, get this, FRAGRANCE paints! Now, we can get our darlings to smell great!

http://www.aquaflow.com/products.htm

The fragrances come in Cherry, Lemon, CHOCOLATE, Popcorn! This is too funny!
The person that painted their camper as a grape can now smell like a grape!!!

I shall call these people and ask about the use of this on fiberglass. They don't want to commit to not causing damage to regular cars so I'm not optimistic. But, if I can get a slight tint to my Fab Faberge Egg, I'd be delighted!

Thanks for the input.
Gigi

Popcorn! We could paint our trailers like a giant piece of popped popcorn and it could smell like it.

(You're very welcome, Gigi. )
