Well, it sure shocked me!!! Since hubby and I decided to get a new camper for just us two, we've been shopping thru that RVTrader, and going weekends to look at Dealers with used RV's and campers!!

The only "little Egg" campers I've seen was a little Scamp in someone's yard... I thought- how intriquing- that's all we need - a little thing like that.... where do people get those??

Anyway- there is nothing like these little campers ANYWHERE on any dealer's used lots! I thought I'd look online for info and stumble onto this site, to learn.

THEN my hubby says why don't you try Ebay? I thought "No one sells such big ticket items on Ebay! You're nuts " I told him."

Well, this is SO UNREAL- There WAS a Scamp listed... and to make it "Twilight Zonish"... it was OLD- which made it in our price range.. AND.. in MY State!!!! What were the chances??????

So- here it is! Our new little home for "second honey-mooning" adventures. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scamp_W0QQc...sspagenameZWDVW

My hubby and sons are so very handy- whatever work this little egg needs- we can do it! I'm SO excited!!!

Congratulations on the new purchase! I am in Minnesota too, Maybe we will see each other on the road. This is your invite to join us fiberglass campers at the camp out in September in Lanesboro, Mn. It was lots of fun last year, and we are hoping for more people this year. So come join us
Have you gotten your little egg home yet?
I look on ebay too all the time. It is fun just to look there.
Welcome to the world of Scamps.

The trailer looks like a great find. It does not look like it needs much work. Have fun using your new minihome.

thats a great story, my brother drove by a house that has a scamp sitting at the bottom of the hill and it looked like no one had touched it in years! I stopped in and asked the guy if he would be interested in selling it. Long story short, he bought it with his wife and she died years later and it sat for 5 years. I ended up getting it for $225 and made a good friend out of it and it is my pride and joy! did I mention its a 1978 scamp 13'!!!!!

Too Cool! Look at all the memories you're going to make

Did you see the posting about Dometic Fridge - you remove!, For sale, barter, or donation in S. MN. Maybe a perfect "new" addition

Thumbs up

Karlyan wrote..."This is your invite to join us fiberglass campers at the camp out in September in Lanesboro, Mn"

What are the dated for this meeting? I checked the section on future meets and the last posting was 4 months ago in Janruary.

Hopefully it won't conflict with the Iowa Scamp camp scheduled for September 25-27th

Any updated info would be appreciated.

Welcome and congratulations! The Lanesboro gathering sould be fun - we'll be there if we can. But also - there may be a Scamp Re-Opening Gathering some time this summer, and if there is, it should be a great place to meet Scampers and other eggers, get ideas, etc. Hope to see you there!

Jack if your interested, a group of fiberglass owners are going to get together at Custer South Dakota starting May 21 or 22nd thru Memorial Day. All are welcome. It could be a nice "shake down cruise" to see how the trailer works again and also to remember what we forgot to put back inside the trailer for camping relaxation purposes.

I did put a short note on the camping get together section of this site.
