That 2-3 months of summer is slightly cooled by the breezes from the Gulf of Mexico! But laying on the beach helps too. And when the hurricanes come, you hitch up and head northwest! I'll take 9-10 months of gorgeous weather to the snows of the north and midwest! Been there and done that and my hands no longer fit a snow shovel!

Hi: The only thing that stops us from towing is any suitable excuse to call work and say "we're STRANDED"

Lots of folks here are scared of ice cream...

It's funny how many pull over for rain. I tugged thru a "Monsoon" into Phoenix, and altho I would rather have not fought it, I never really felt unsafe.

Yet I pulled over for less wind than most of you would have. I suppose it changes from rig to rig.

I'm retired, so, try to only tow when the weather is beautiful.
(Got no where to go, so, can't be late. LOL)
Have never pulled a trailer in snow and don't want to start now.
Would most likely pull over in heavy rain or wind above 40.

Gina - as we said in our e-mail, so grateful you, Fred & Robert all found safe haven from that horrendous weather!

RE: the poll - you REALLY need to add "All of the Above"! We try to stop traveling in the face of any of these conditions ('cept maybe the 20 mph gusts). Oh ... and you really have it pegged with the "BaskinRobbins" option!

Hope things are OK and getting better on the mountain. Now ... about those awning lights ? Take care, L 'n D

Well, I AM actually home now.. been here a whole 1/2 hour.

No one cleaned in here while I was gone.

Trailer is still down the hill, the streets are not wide enough with the berms and the neighbors that are too lazy to dig them out, so they park in the road. My Burro won't fit past them.

Wide Body Backfire, I guess.

email???? I'll check! Did you find them lights?

If you leave a trail of that smelly meat leading away from your house you might get those racoons underneath to leave....

I have been home a few days now. I just realized I have a 3 day weekend.. BUT.. the wind almost blew the Jeep off the hiway tonite and it isn't supposed to quit for a couple days ...

Guess I stay home and do taxes or something LOL.

The raccoons, BTW, have moved.

Maybe they got mad at the power outages too.

You didn't mention FOGG. At about 2AM, I pulled off because I couldn't see, past the front of the car, into a gas area and was told I couldn't stay there [company policy]. Said he'd call the cops. I said go ahead if they could come they could lead me to safety somewhere else. The guy left us alone and I pulled out a couple of hours later when it cleared enough so I could see several car lengths and followed a well light transport.
