I find your suggestions inspiring, as I'm redoing an old trillium these days. Don't wait to win the lotto to do cool things!

Get professional help doing the repairs to my trailer. Then go places and enjoy it. Lots of places.
I like what I do for a living but would not mind being able to take on the projects I want to do, work for a few months, finish the project then take off and go to dog agility trials around the country exploring the area around each one before moving on to the next.
Might find a good home for my 13 footer and move up to a 16 ft. unit.

I did not see Alf's boler project in there ...
Back to the lottery, I'd like to find something a little smaller than Alf's garage to start with. Plus a home with a bit more space for the dog's to run outside, and the parents to live inside.
Once that was done. I think that we would both look at our reduced work options while we plan our "round the continent" trip.
There are so many people and places that we'd like to visit locally (North America) before we meet up with ill health. If we can make it through our first big trip, then we will definately look at other continents. We have trouble enough keeping up with the friends we have me here on FGRV and bolerama.
Thank you all!

we'd take an exotic trip somewhere hot, just for a couple of weeks, to plan our future. then, we'd go to australia and new zealand (tops on my bucket list)...buy a rig for the adventures down there and sell it--or hell, just give it away!!!---before we came home. then we'd get in our little Osokozy and travel north america from top to bottom....
isn't dreaming wonderful? we've spent whole travel days doing exactly this--spending lotto funds! great way to dream....

Services! House cleaning, Nanny, Accountant, Mechanic, Tutor, Spa, (for my wife and girls), Lessons, (music, dance, judo, archery...).
Pay off the house and do some renovations. Buy the cottage on Manitoulin Island in Ontario from my dad, but let him live there in the summer just like he does now.
And of course, gas, food, campground fees, and time on the road with my family in the Limo with our Trillium, (life support).
Maybe just a couple of million would do.

* Pay off the house
* pay off the wife's student loan
* Make my father take some money
* Help the relatives in college
Quit my job and take 1 year off to travel North America with my egg.
Buy a large rural acreage property and setup a Dog-centered vacation area/campground.

Retire early, buy an egg camper and spend all day messing around with it. Oh wait, that's what I did.

Here's some pict of my "campervan" trip on the South Island, NZ. Very reasonable rental prices too (at the time, $70 bucks a day ) ...

You're in good company Alan! I often hear about the odds of winning a big lottery... something akin to the chances of being struck by lightning. I think... NO, the odds are 50/50. You either win or you lose. Guess which one I've managed to HIT

A BIG lottery win probably wouldn't change our 'lifestyle' (hate that word ) very much. We already do pretty much what we want when we want. Just lately we've been 'on the hook' sittin' a 5mo old great grandaughter weekdays so that's put a crimp in our activities. Should end before long. Actually our idea of 'living pretty good' is small potatoes to lotsa folks. We're perfectly satisfied with our TV & might would move up to a Scamp 16 if money was 'unlimited'. Life's already been pretty good for us so lotsa money would more'n likely just allow us to help 'make it better' for someone else...

Hopeful? Me too. I just heard on ABC news that now every single number combination has been sold. So we know at least one ticket can be more than 1/2 BILLION dollars richer tomorrow night (MegaMillions). I hope there are many winners. Me included

I wish that when it gets above a certain number, the pot gets split in half, or quarters or more. I mean, who needs 500million dollars?

All lotteries are a special tax applicable only to those who are too stupid to do the math....... (Says the guy who has to go check his own tix again this week!)
