Talking If I won the lottery....

Wow. Just think of it. The winning ticket.

Of course, Family and Charities comes first. But what else would I like to spend it on..... of course, my FG-TT! I wouldn't want to replace my little UHaul, bcause I really like the little guy - but I would customize the heck out of him !! (Remember, I'm a jillionaire now, so price is not an issue.)

Replace the heavy steel frame with a aluminum one.
Motorized leveling / stabilizing jacks.
Install a new axle.
New tires with some spinner rims. whoohoo!
Replace subfloor with all marine plywood, waterproofed.
Insulate between the shells. (I would LOVE this!!)
Remove the seam band from outside and re-gelcoat.
Find an artist to custom paint the exterior (design t.b.d. )
Insulated windows all around.
Mini awnings all around,,,, so always have a shady window.
Rooftop AC, smallest and lightest available.
Customize the inside of all the storage cubbies.
Solid surface counter with smev stove and bar sink.
Stainless backsplash.
Slide-out counter extensions (also stainless steel)
Custom wood doors.
New engineered (bamboo) wood flooring.
Recover all cushions (price is no object per square yard)
New curtains, still deciding on style.....
Wood headliner with inlaid design.
New custom wood dinette table (more inlay wood)
Pendant light over table, a custom artsy fartsy creation.
Convertable front bench to a 2-person dinette table.
New LED lighting throughout, inside and outside lights.
Dimmer control panel for inside lights

Um,,, I'm essentially building a trailer from scratch....

....yet in this whole wishlist, I have not even wanted to install a bathroom, but I would like to have the porta potty built into the front seat, so I can push a button to roll it out 'when needed'

Whats on your wish list?

Buy our daughter a bigger house, then give her the Uhaul and buy us a 17' Casita, new tow vehicle to pull it with, Find a '63 or '64 Fairlane wagon as tow vehicle for our teardrop, restore my 69 Bronco, get a house near to the daughter with a big shop building, restore my 46 Farmall, my 64 Fairlane sedan and son's 62 sedan, and my 46 Bantam trailer, and my little Beaver tractor. As you can see I have way too many projects waiting to get done, and this isn't the whole list, but I'm too stupid to give up yet. What's that saying, "He who dies with the most toys, wins" !! Bob

Assuming that the pot is in the multiples of millions - Invest it all. Use the investment income to - Well - besides finishing (or paying someone to do it for me!):
My '28 Model A hotrod (that one - the one that somehow got the motor "blowed up" when 3rd gear wasn't where it had been last time!)
Redo my 57 Chev - needs new upholstery and paint
complete the "restore to original" my 37 Dodge
Finish my Caddy-powered '56 F100
Complete my '65 Henway
Repaint my '80 GMC half-ton hotrod
THEN - find/acquire a Bigfoot 28 Silver Cloud, and like Ken H did with his Bigfoot 17, cut it in half and lengthen it a bit - to about 34 feet or so with a whole new floorplan. My tug is just perfect as is for that trailer, so no issues there.

Get a MUCH bigger house built to our custom design, on bigger property

First thing, buy a small warehouse in the neighborhood to rebuild so I can live in part and convert the other part to house Rucio the Burro and the Bonair Oxygen that I lust after. Retire really early and spend a ton of time traveling.

If the lottery is at least a few million dollars, I would sell everything and move to Switzerland, buy a year-long First Class Swiss Travel System pass, and spend my time riding every train/tour bus/lake steamer/ etc. for the rest of my life.

Sandy and I were fortunate to take two five-week personal tours, in conjunction with the New York office of Switzerland Tourism. We timed the tour to include the Swiss Yodeling Competition and their "Swiss Day" (like our 4th of July) and many local festivals or events. We kept a daily diary and I took hundreds of photos and DV video. We emailed our daily diaries with a few photos and *.mpg video and large stiched panoramas.

After the 1999 tour, we were invited to return in 2002.

I could easily be happy there for the rest of my life.

Cool Fantasies

If I had enough money so I didn't have work, I'd rent a warehouse and take the Fiber Stream there and carefully disassemble it. I'd have an entire new frame made, and reassemble it lowered to its original factory stance but with torsion axles instead of leaf springs, AND add shock absorbers for a Limousine ride. I'd build the interior partition framing out of aluminum square tubing like they're making "stickies" nowadays, but skin the interior walls and cabinets with fiberglass instead of wood paneling. I'd have the same interior wall covering for the inner surface of the exterior walls that Escape uses. I'd have cushions just like Casita's Liberty so the configuration would be more versatile than it is now, and get real linoleum flooring (not vinyl). I would keep all of my original appliances and fixtures, except have a roof-mounted Air Conditioner with the heat strip, and a computer/entertainment system that the screen folds up to the ceiling when not viewing, and surround sound, and wireless keyboard, with all components integrated. I'd keep the "child's upper bunk" idea, but engineer it to hold 200 pounds and lower for more headroom in it but raise back to its present height when unoccupied. There would be tinted glass in the windows (not just tinted film on them) and day/night shades.

Hopefully I'd have millions after taxes.

I'd buy a new tow vehicle, then charter a jet, load my dog, Scamp and Tug on it and head for Australia. After I tired of being there I'd take them to New Zealand.

Sometime later I'd like to jet off to Europe with dog, Scamp and Tug. My final destination with the Scamp would be Easthern Canada and the Maritimes. Once I was finished there I'd sell the Scamp and Tug.

I either head to Hawaii and buy an estate right on the water or I might decide to purchase an island down in the south seas. The ocean, shorts, tank tops, flip flops, a couple of coconuts & pineapples and I'd be in heaven.

I think it is touching that Pam would stay true to her UHaul. Gotta admire that kind of loyalty.

Know what you mean. The way things seem to be going nowadays, it might be better that way. Don't get me started, I could rant!
