If the site is too bright....

In case you missed the memo and like me find the new and improved version of the site so bright that it hurts your eyes, you can still use the old blue version.

Here's how to get there courtesy of Fredrick:

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page. In the left corner is a select box with -- FGRV 2.0 showing. Click on the down arrow, and select -- Default Style

Not me. I feel kinda weird that unwelcome changes to my friendly old forum are being thrust upon us, even if it does not work for some (like me).

I generally prefer the old colors but, suddenly I'm not seeing the date & time of the post in the colored strip above each entry in the 'default' mode. The info is there when I view it the new style so I've been using that. Dunno if it's something I did inadvertently (I'm kinda a computer dummy) but I'm pretty sure it was there until quite recently??

The date and time and post# are still there, you just can not see them!! If you look closely you can see them.

Yeah, now I can 'see' there's something there, just can't see it well enough to read it...

Yes, I can see it now... Dark blue print on a not-quite-as-dark blue background.

I was having to dial down my brightness on the new version (but then had to dial up again when not on the forum). So I've switched back to the old version for simplicity sake. The new site appears to be set up as 'high contrast' which is not easy for many people to manage. The default still has recent threads displayed along the right side (yay!)

Thanks. The default style is much easier on the eyes. The FGRV style is not only too bright, it is fugly. Now someone please change the time stamp text to white so we can read it.

Gee Doc, it appears the forum gods were listening. The dates are back. Good job. .
