A friend who is into grill and camp cookery sent me the URL for a very interesting Aussie site. In addition to gobs of good info on dutch oven cookery, he has a page on his "camp trailer." I thought the folks here would be interested in the whole site. Really good stuff! Enjoy.

Gotta agree with you, Sharon. But I thought it was an interesting "alternative" mode. I came to my beloved Casita after a pop-up tent camper and I wouldn't go back for a herd of wallabys!

Anybody who remembers "Bush Tucker Man" knows how many biting creatures Australia hosts. You'd value a tent that lifted you up off the ground. This looks roomy, but man, what a setup chore! "Pulling up stakes" would be a major hassle, not just a figure of speech. Actually, here in Colorado, the wind would often to that for you.

My thoughts, too. Definitely for those who stay in one spot for long periods. I do like that kitchen module, though...

Actually, my first trailer was a small version of that. (And Australian ta boot!) It came with the add a room, but I was not tall enough to zip it on by myself.

Set up was indeed as fast as he says, but tucking everything back in its place was a bit of a struggle.

I actually LIVED in this thing during an almost 2 week evac once.

Wow, Gina, that's just a wee bit smaller than my tent camper— from which I "graduated" to the Casita. I loved that little thing. Had the suspension modified for extra clearance and could tow it just about anywhere— and did. Used to love to get off away from everybody and everything in a NF somewhere and hunker down for 2-3 weeks. I miss it (sometimes), but I wouldn't go back. Otra had corrupted me entirely!
