We just made a quick trip to Basque del Apache wildlife refuge in New Mexico to see about 50,000 migrating (actually migrated) waterfowl and assorted hangers-on. Wonderful must-see lifetime event, but subject of another thread in a few days. This is for interesting things seen on the trip.
1) Water softener. Class C full-timer next to me had a portable water softener. He and spouse had had a problem with hard water, esp in the southwest, so he bought this and was very happy with it.

2)
Lights on Antenna. He also had Internet service via Directway and had stuck the
solar lights in the base as it was sticking out a bit.
3) Water pipe covering. It got down to 17 one night, and while we were warm and cozy, the RV park had anticipated such weather and had their pipes prepared. We didn't hook up our water line until the next day, BTW.
4) Caulking. Also stayed at City of Rocks SP in NM, another interesting place but with only 10 electric spots and four of them, count 'em four, were filled with Hosts! And only the hosts had dump station hookups! The other dry sites were trailer challenged so beware if you go here, but it was interesting and had four empty electric places on Friday night. Anyway, had a big rain on Friday night and on Saturday this guy was caulking his Airstream. Don't you all just love our eggs!?!?!
