'Glad you like my decor. Themeing our trips makes camping that much more fun. As to the kitchen area...we mostly cook and eat outdoors. The sink/burner area is pretty basic. On the back of the counter, next to the wall, I keep mostly utilitarian items. I have 4 brushed steel canisters Oggi Airtight Stainless Steel Canisters with Acrylic Tops (Set of 4) - Bed Bath & Beyond that usually hold homemade granola and cookies, coffee, and oatmeal. There is a container of Camp Soap, a tumbler (with an owl motif) with toothpaste and toothbrush. Sometimes I hang, from the closet knob, a kitchen mitt and potholder matched to the theme (not this time). It would be too expensive to theme the bed comforter so I simply put the themed blanket or towel on top of the made-up bed. (see photos of my other 2 Native American-themed fleece blankets from Home - Native Fleece). I usually keep the bed in the "down" position and drape the other blankets over the "couch". During our last trip to Utah I had fun rotating the location of the blankets, including on our outdoor camp chairs, creating a new look each day!

The other themes I have (or in progress) are: Hiking in the Fall, The Tropics and The 1950's. I will post photos of these when I can. Our trailer is housed one hour from our home and I do not go there often.

I LOVE to see what others have done with decor. Please post your gems!

Happy Camping!
Gilda (Jill-da)

The 50's

Please post pictures of the 50's theme when complete.
Love the colors from that era.

I thought you'd like to see my interior and exterior decor with an autumn hiking theme. Note that I made net pockets on the curtains which hang over our heads whilst sleeping giving us easy access to glasses, flashlights, tissues, etc. I also made hanging pockets attached with Velcro to the rat fur. The bed has a baby crib bumper surrounding the bed to prevent soiling the rat fur and, most importantly, to prevent nasty bumps on the metal table fasteners. Also note that the spare tire cover matches the tablecloth. (Yes, I made it out of a second tablecloth!)

[Moderator's note: the instructions for making the spare tire cover have been moved to the Modifications Forum. Here's the link: Spare Tire Cover.]

Please post your photos here too!(I posted this under "What do people's kitchens look like" too.)
