Trailer: Casita 17 ft Freedom Deluxe
Posts: 3
Hello;
By way of introduction, we’ve owned the Towster (1999 17’ Casita SD) for about 4 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed our adventures. Deb and I and our two dogs (Nola and Kaya) primarily dry camp and use our trailer as a very strong, very heavy tent with a refrigerator.

I’ve been a habitue of the Casita Club forums for quite a while and a bit of a lurker around here, but felt like it was time to say hello. HELLO!

I’m a 60 y/o instructional designer with a large express company and Deb (who is much younger, I might add) is a Vet tech here in Memphis TN. I am an Air Force veteran and spent two tours in Vietnam. Deb was in grammar school at the time.

Retirement is around the corner for me and we are contemplating a new slightly bigger trailer. We’ve been looking with interest at the Escape 5.0 fifth wheel:

Does anyone here own one of these and/or has anyone had the opportunity to examine one in person? We bought the Casita due to the loyalty of the owners and because of how well they hold their value. We are hoping the Escape will prove to have similar properties.

Thanks in advance for your opinions and viewpoints.

Dave

Hi! We have 3 pics of Ian & Paddy's Escape 5th Wheel, in our Home Page Album:

(Alas, we don't have 5th wheel pics in our Escape Album, but it's only a matter of time...)

Welcome to FiberglassRV Dave

We're fortunate that Reace, the Escape trailer manufacturing owner, is a member of FiberglassRV He's posted some great information about the 5th wheel, starting from scratch when he asked members what they'd like to see in a trailer. New Escape 5th Wheel

And here's another topic you might like to read: Escape 5.0 has hatched!.

I was fortunate to see the first 5th wheel when Ian and Paddy came through the Portland area in early spring. This trailer is everything I'd want and more!

Those of us that are going to be at the Oregon Gathering are fortunate...I think there's going to be THREE Escape 5th wheels there to view!
