It seems logical to me that the best deals to be had would be right around now, or even in a few weeks when the kids are back at school and people are finished camping for the year. Am I right? My husband wants to wait until spring to buy as we may get one weekend this fall to camp and that will be it until next year. I'm afraid there will be less available then. Has anyone noticed a trend?
Thanks.
Linda.

Generally, in terms of price the best deals will start in the fall and go through end of February.
If you need to buy in April thru July you'll probably pay a bit more, however, there is much more inventory to look at during that time.

Certainly the selection is best from now when camping season slows down to late October before they all get put away for the winter.

The best time to buy is when the perfect trailer for your camping needs comes along. If you find the right one no matter if it's in the middle of winter, buy it! I agree spring is usually a great time to buy, but I wonder if this year Fall will be great for deals as well. With this economy some people might not be able to pay for storage over the long winter and figure oh well get rid of it now. Keep your eye out, and if the "perfect" one comes along then you will be all set to start camping early next spring. Good Luck! Robin

Prices are usually lower in the fall/winter because people don't want to winter over a trailer if that means paying storage fees or worrying about snow loads, etc. Prices rise in the spring because of demand. Those same people who paid storage fees all winter long are looking to recover costs and they know people are excited about going camping. Often time manufacturers will also have sales in the winter for trailer orders to be built for spring because they're looking to keep employees working.
But, you'll know when the right trailer comes along, at the right price and within the distance you're willing to drive. And that happens no matter what the season.

Greg, I know your part of the country is just now getting tolerable for me. One of my good friends lives in Scottsdale and I asked her how they can live there in the summer. She said we go from our air conditioned home to our air conditioned car to our air conditioned job's, mall etc......... Enjoy your camping season! Oh by the way are you guys getting the smoke from the Calif fires? Whew, it's been rough here, smokeeeeeeee.
Bill K, Sorry! But LOL..................
