If you're interested in contacting him you might try email k1npi@yahoo.com or k1npi@verizon.com
That two email addresses I found. I also noted that I can't find the domain registration for www.k1npi.com

This guy is a radio amateur or HAM operator
The K1LPI is his call sign.
Go to www.qrz.com and enter k1lpi into the search box and his full info will pop up.

He also transmits APRS beacon info so you can determine where he or his rig is at amy time.

The most common place to search for this info is www.findu.com

I di not read his page yet but most of us append the call sign with a -# the # would denote the mode of transportation we are using.
I mention this as if you don't search in findu for the exact call sign with modifier you will not find us.

I am usually KC0UKR-5 or -9 but I have not sent any tracking data in a while.

Anyway I would send email thru his QRZ cintact info and I imagine he will repond.

Ed

OK I read his page and he links to findu.com as k1lpi-1 it seems.

He has the link on top of the page.

The APRS system was developed by Bob Bruniga to enable real time tracking and position reports by,of and for amateur radio operators.
The system allows for wide signal coverage though the country as long as the operator is in range of a digipeater site.

There are radios out there that allow one to see other hams in the area and the distance between us too.
I use one in my tow rig and can spot other hams in range and out of range of voice contact of the truck.

Ham radio can be interesting!

great info, came right up with his name. He isn't a member here, but he tried to be at one time registering with his call letters.

I will email him from the radio page and see if he is interested in coming back 'round.

Thanks for the info, he does a great mix of hobby and full timing in his egg!
