It hurts my eyes.

There I was, happy as a clam. All of a sudden the lights come on. It hurts my eyes. And the option to use the default skin is gone. As I said, it hurts my eyes. Raz

It hurts my eyes as well. I am not a change-hater. I do, however, much prefer the old skin.

Not to mention, for those of us using portable devices (iPads, tablets, etc.), I believe it takes more power to light up white pixels than leave them dark. I prefer the original skin for the planet!

The option to use the default (old) skin is available again. There will come a time when it will begin to fail. With every software update and change it becomes buggier, but for now it's back. Scroll ALL the way to the bottom of the page and look in the left corner

Maybe it's the yellow?

I have been going back and forth between skins trying to figure this out. I can't see a difference between the white used in either skin. They appear the same. Further, the white used by Google, EBay, and several news papers all appear to be the same and none of them are bothersome to me. Perhaps it's not the white. Perhaps it's the yellow. Just a thought. Hmmmm, don't think it is the 'shade' of white as much as it is the amount. The FGRV 2.0 'skin' has a pure white background with only small amounts of gray & blue, & the bands that separate posts are the strong yellow which results in the 'glare' from the screen. With the default version the background is mostly medium blue with smaller amounts of gray, white, & no yellow, resulting in a generally more pleasing, 'easier on the eyes' combination.

Bottom of the page on the left there is a drop down window. Default or FGRV 2.0

Because the CACHE or Temporary Internet Files in your Browser History is maintaining the old look.
People who notice changes right away probably have their Browser set to clear all cache when they log off.
