I have a chandelier for our Uhaul screen room, but since it serves a useful function, hubby even uses it when I am not there. Now, if I could only get him to realize that the bedspread's orange side goes up to match the SW decor I have .

Somehow, I just can't understand making ANY changes to the interior of a trailer - if you think it needs that much work - why did you buy the thing when you (obviously) didn't like it?

To make it uniquely yours of course! That and no perfect trailer exists, there is always something that needs tweaking.

Example, let's say we both buy black tee shirts. I understand you will just wear your black tee shirt and be fine. I prefer to wear my black tee shirt with a beautiful sweater and nice necklace. cute jean's/shorts/skirt and really cute shoes!

There is certainly nothing wrong with my Casita. I just like to decorate and make my space pleasing to me.


I have a question for you, Do you live in your home as it was when it was built? Same Contractor tan, same contractor flooring, light fixtures, etc?

Yeah, and it's not like you can rearrange the furniture to freshen the look!

Actually - pretty much yes. When we bought it in 2001, the livingroom walls were green, but we put them back to beige, didn't change rugs or anything, still have never even thought of putting anything on the walls. Only changed kitchen lights when one of the old ones gave us troubles and had to be replaced, and then again when we had to redo the entire kitchen after a busted dishwasher caused a massive flood. Old cabinets etc were ruined, old appliances were toasted, so.......

Neither wife nor I have any imagination, "vision" or - truth be told - any interest in interior decorating. Whatever was there was obviously good enough to cause us to buy the place. If we hadn't liked it, we wouldn't have bought it. If we do like, it why change it?

Actually you should'nt if your comfortable in your home. That is all that matters. But..................... If you ever want to re-decorate just let me know. I can find you lot's of inspiration photo's. And I promise to not try to inspire you with pink girly pic's!

Lord have mercy! I'm going to be forced to block this site from wife lest I have to pretend to be a homeless guy who agreed to drive and set up the camp for food.

I'm way to lazy for all that, if I want to look at something pretty I'll look at wife, or turn lawn chair a bit and look at the scenery I just spent hours driving to.

Aaah I get it, I get to look at wife but she has to look at me so camper needs to be pretty. And they say guys don't understand women.

You know...I am a single guy and I had a lot of fun decorating my camper up to be unique. Yes it is not "girlie" polk a dots, no ribbons or lace, but I think it looks pretty spiffy. One of the reasons I loved finding this site so much was seeing all the "original" campers people gave life to. I think it is lots of fun.

I think the pics of what someone else did to their camper is quite entertaining. But when I look at them all I can think of, is the space all those cushions, nic nacs, do dads, etc take up. And trying to live around all that stuff in an egg. Having to move, put away or stash somewhere when on the move. Not for me. The simplier the better.
