It's a Guy, thing, too

There's a young architect in Santa Barbara named Matthew Hofmann who renovates old Airstreams. It was an article about his first Airstream project in the LA Times that got me interested in trailering again.
Check out his work here:
Airstream Renovations - Airstream Remodel - Airstream Designer - Home Interior Design - Modern House Plans - Airstream for Sale - Santa Barbara - Hofmann Architecture, Inc.
Enjoy!
Phil
ps I'm a real wanna be reno guy. Just lack the talent, tools and means to do it

Hmm. No curtain in that first Airstream Tradewind bathroom? Seems that is too much of a guy thing!

Awww, but those are girl friendly! Beautiful work.

Reeve's, many times it's not so much the "talent" it's about the heart and desire to create beauty! Talent is learned, heart and desire are not...............

Cindy, if you look closely you will see that there is a pull-down roller blind on the BR window. It'll be alright as long as you don't lean back and activate the recoil spring by accident.....

I'd be interested in knowing the structure and substrate under those bath tiles. I'd be less interested in knowing the wgt. Overall, the little Caravelle is a sweet little jelly bean. My wife aspired to aluminium until I found out a gutted Airstream was rather large bucks and subsequently discovered that you CAN return to the egg.

Thanks for the link. The trailer is great, and the architect is quite interesting. Loved reading the rest of his blog, especially the "right-sizing" post.
