It's Amazing to Know

That I could sell our 19' 2010 Scamp for more then my 2003 32' Jayco 5th wheel. We are down to $11,000 on the Jayco. A guy pulls in to the drive thinking it is the Scamp for sale. My husband tells him to call Scamp, ask the new price of one just like our's and that would be the selling price to him. There would defiantly be a new Scamp on order ASAP.

And still we get posts "Complaining" about the high prices of used FGRV's. Your experience sorta speaks directly to that issue I would say.....

A local, and very big, Jayco dealership, avoids trade-ins for several reasons. Who would buy a new one with 5 year old ones at 75% off new list on the same lot?

A friend of mine bought a Coleman hybrid at a much reduced show price and, after a down payment and 2 years of payments, used examples are selling for less than the balance due on that one.

BTW: That applies to all sticky's not just Jayco who builds a fine rig in that class.

Funny thing is, if Scamp or other FGRV builders started selling through dealers, the retail price would go up at least 50% and who would buy a little trailer that cost more $$$ than a behemoth. To many, "Size Matters".
